YOU WANNA LEARN ELVISH?! HERE YA GO!
is this legit?
This is legit. My husband, sitting across the room, looks over and says, “IS THAT SOMEONE SHOWING HOW TO CONVERT ENGLISH TO TENGWAR? BECAUSE THAT’S THE WAY!”
Believe this man. He owns atlases of Middle Earth, the complete history of Midle Earth (leatherbound), and has read the books at least 150 times. Also: speaks elvish.
For future reference. :)
bruh…perhaps because oranges were able to give their name to the color since most oranges are actually orange and not green unlike banana, apple and the rest. if they were green, just in tropical climates where english is not the native language thus they have a different name for it (dalandan in the philippines, cam sành in vietnam, etc.) other languages may have different terms but orange is a universal accepted name for it. (ex. Apfelsine and/or orange in German, etc) and other languages say orange itself and derives from the word (ex. une orange in French, naranja in Spanish). and then there is blood orange which is really distinct
… Does anyone want to tell this person that oranges usually aren’t orange, either?
